Job Responsibilities:
1. To teach English using a variety of teaching methods which will stimulate students’ learning through scaffolding, to meet the demands of the curriculum and different students’ needs.
2. To maintain the classroom discipline in accordance with the school policy and to establish good practices in students’ behavior management.
3. To apply a variety of evaluation methods to assess/track students’ performances progress regularly in line with the course objectives.
4. To contribute to the development and implementation of the relevant subject’s strategic action plan.
5. To attend and contribute to the staff and department meetings.
6. To use data to display students’ performance progress and to develop appropriate action plans tailored to each students’ situation.
7. To critically review and reflect on the learning and teaching methods used on a regular basis.
8. To implement safeguarding and ensure students’ safety in the classroom.
9. To participate in school’s professional learning programs and continued professional development programs in the relevant areas, especially in subject knowledge and teaching methods.
10. To attend Parent Teacher Conferences and other academic and pastoral events.
11. To ensure effective communication with parents regarding students’ academic performance both in line with the school’s reporting procedures and in response to any specific concerns that may arise.
12. To undertake other duties as required according to the school schedule.
13. To comply with the current policies and regulations of the school.
14. To agree with and demonstrate the school values at all times, both in the school and in the wider community.
Requirements:
1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject fields, a Master’s degree is desirable.
2. At least 3 (three) years’ relevant teaching experience in the international curriculum, familiar with courses such as IB, A-Level, and IGCSE.
3. Strong ability in classroom management and extensive experience in organizing extra-curricular activities is preferred.
4. A native-level English speaker with professional knowledge and skills; a highly motivated and goal-oriented personnel looking for a long-term and stable position.
5. Excellent cross-cultural awareness.
6. Rich experience in working/studying under the Chinese and Western education systems, understand the difference between them and is highly adaptable to the new environment/international curriculum.
7. Respect and comply with the school regulations.
