Job Title: Reading Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Reading Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Reading Education or a related field and experience working with English Language Learners (ELL). The primary role of the Reading Specialist is to provide targeted reading interventions and support to students who need additional assistance to achieve grade-level reading proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement reading intervention programs tailored to the needs of ELL students.
- Assess students' reading levels and monitor progress through regular evaluations.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students who would benefit from additional reading support.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to help students improve reading skills.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and tools to enhance reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school administrators regarding student progress and strategies for continued support.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Reading Education, Literacy, or a related field.
- Certification or endorsement as a Reading Specialist is preferred.
- Experience working with ELL students in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of reading instruction methodologies and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
