Position Overview:

Roong Aroon School is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Primary Music Teacher to inspire young learners in our English Program. This role focuses on cultivating a deep appreciation for music among students through creative, interactive, and play-based teaching methods.

The successful candidate will guide Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in exploring the fundamentals of music, while also nurturing the ukulele skills of students in Grades 3 to 6. Proficiency in piano, guitar, recorder, and voice instruction is essential, as is the ability to collaborate with fellow music educators to build a cohesive and dynamic music program that enriches our students' overall learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage Young Learners: Introduce music fundamentals to Grade 1 and Grade 2 students through playful and interactive lessons that encourage creativity and joy in music.
Ukulele Instruction: Teach and develop ukulele skills for Grades 3 to 6, focusing on technique, performance, and ensemble collaboration.
Instrumental Proficiency: Incorporate piano, guitar, and recorder into the curriculum, enriching students' musical journey.
Vocal Development: Provide voice training to students, integrating singing as a fundamental aspect of music education.
Collaborative Curriculum Design: Work closely with fellow music educators to develop a unified and inspiring music program, including performances and special projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
Strong proficiency in piano, guitar, recorder, and voice instruction.
Experience teaching music to young learners, particularly Grades 1 to 6.
Familiarity with interactive and play-based teaching methods for young children.
Ability to teach intermediate ukulele skills.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience teaching in a school music program setting.
Proven ability to create an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively with a team of music educators.
