As part of our commitment to providing a well-resourced and accessible learning environment, the librarian will play a key role in managing the school library, collaborating with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum, and guiding students in their reading and research.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to curate materials that support student learning, promote literacy initiatives, and deliver engaging library sessions. They will also assist students in developing independent research skills, encourage a culture of reading for pleasure, and ensure that the library remains an inviting and well-organised space.
Minimum requirements:
- An Undergraduate Degree
- Qualified teacher or librarian from the UK or holds an equivalent qualification.
- Experience of delivering training session to teachers on children’s literature, library services, or topics related to the promotion of reading and the use of texts
- Knowledge of children’s literature and children’s resources to support the curriculum.
- Knowledge and understanding of library and information skills.
- Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry-based Learning
