Early Years Teacher / Assistant Teacher

Location: Bangalore Day Care Center for children 0-6yrs

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

Pay: From 26,000 INR per month

Working pattern: 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm and 11am-8pm (Rotational shifts)

We provide high quality care and education to children aged 0-6 years old.

We currently have a number of opportunities to join us in our Bangalore daycare center as a Nursery Teacher.

Purpose of the Role:

As an early childhood educator, your job will be to deliver exceptional care and education to our children, and to be the main point of contact our families.

To support our children’s learning and development, document their experiences on a daily basis, plan for the next steps for children’s development, and evaluate their progress.

Key Tasks:

Lesson planning
Keep everyone safe by following policies and procedures
Meet the dietary, health and care needs including feeding and nappy changing
Work together with parents and other professionals
Ensure the curriculum and planning cycle meets the needs of all children
Maintain records and completion of progress checks for each child
Practice positive behaviour management techniques
Support and promote diversity and equality
Work as part of a team
Use initiative and show resilience
Attend staff meetings and training sessions
Participation in appraisals and one to ones
Promote the centre to current parents and potential customers
Take on board new ideas and initiatives

Essential Qualifications

University Degree – Ideally B.Ed (Early Childhood Education)
Paediatric First Aid qualification (Desirable)

Experience Required:

Early Years, Child Care Experience and/or other teaching qualification
Experience working with young children either in a professional home base or early years provision
A good record of on-going training
Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
Understanding child development, including children with disabilities
Knowledge of child protection procedures

Soft skills: Patience, communication, teamwork and creativity
