Sara Village School is a British primary school following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and the National Curriculum for England for children aged four (Reception) to 11 years (Year 6). We serve the community of Sara Village Compound which consists mainly of employees working for a British company. Sara Village School is part of International Schools Group, a not for profit organisation of 5 American and British International Schools in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Our mission is ‘We inspire innovation and compassionate action’ and it is central to all we do.
We are a small school of around 85 students in total, with class sizes ranging from 8 to 17 students. There is one class per year group and each class has a dedicated teacher and instructional assistant. Students have a range of specialist subjects including Arabic, art, ICT, music, PE, PSHE & Spanish. We are a very well equipped school with all classrooms having access to the latest technology and resources.
We are looking for an dynamic & experienced EYFS teacher who will be a key member of our diverse, compassionate and innovative teaching team and will be responsible for delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. As the only EYFS teacher in the school, you will be encouraged to be creative, try new things and make the role your own.
Position Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework.
Demonstrate creativity and a willingness to innovate.
Deliver an active, hands-on & student-centred programme.
Be committed to the development of continuous provision in the school.
Collaborate effectively and work closely with teaching assistants and learning support teachers.
Observe, monitor and record student progress.
Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class.
Have a good grasp of educational technology and how it is implemented to enhance learning opportunities.
Be fluent in English, oral and written.
Be flexible and adaptable to changes with regards to distance learning if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and EYFS & KS1 Leader.
Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
University degree in the subject area of employment (Master’s degree preferred).
Current teacher certification in the required subject area. Certification should be from a recognised and nationally recognised institution.
Classroom teachers should be able to demonstrate relevant experience and certification in teaching similar school programs as the applied for position (preferred).

Prior experience as an EYFS Teacher.
Implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage framework in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales.
Proficient with G Suite/Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleagues.
Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to lead an after-school activity.
