We are looking for outstanding Assistant Teachers who will work alongside our International class teachers to provide outstanding academic and pastoral support for our children in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The main role of the assistant teacher is to work with one classroom teacher to deliver the highest possible level of education to the class. The AT has a high status and is valued for their input and joint planning with the teacher as well as being important for the pastoral welfare of the class. Where students have English as an additional language, the AT may be important for helping the students communicate, to begin with. However, they will always encourage the students to speak in English where they can and they will talk to the students in English. They will predominantly work with small groups of students, including challenging the more able and supporting the lowest-attaining children.

Teaching and Learning:
To work with individuals or small groups under the supervision of the teacher both in the classroom and outside the main teaching area.
To ensure that each child makes the maximum possible progress, feels safe and enjoys their time at school.
To be a role model for the children in the values of kindness, good manners and wisdom, work ethic and high standards.
To carry out specific work tasks allocated by the teacher, including making and preparing materials for lessons.
To contribute to the preparation of teaching resources and materials.
To take an active role in the co-curricular program.
To help create and maintain an attractive, tidy and stimulating classroom environment including helping with the creation of displays inside and outside of the classroom.
To help in clearing away by washing paint pots etc.
To assist students who are unwell and providing comfort and care for minor accidents.
To participate in record-keeping and student assessments.
To help in communicating with parents, such as photographing students or sharing them via an online platform.
To assist with Thai events such as the Loy Krathong and other whole-school events.
To welcome and greet parents/students at the start of the day and to help with the dismissal of students at the end of the day.
Professionalism:
To arrive at school punctually.

Qualities, Qualifications and Skills Essential:
To demonstrate our values, especially kindness, good manners and wisdom.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Good English oracy and literacy.
Good numeracy skills
The ability to work well as part of a team.
A friendly, professional and approachable manner with colleagues, students and parents.
To understand the requirement to maintain confidentiality between colleagues, students and parents.
Competent ICT skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience of working with children.
A degree in education.
Previous experience working in an international school.
