Job overview
Charter International School, a well-established and fully accredited international school in Bangkok, Thailand, offers a dynamic Primary School programme that integrates the globally recognised International Primary Curriculum (IPC) with elements of the English National Curriculum. Through rigorous teaching and meaningful, engaging experiences, our innovative approach inspires imagination and curiosity while building core academic knowledge, skills, and understanding. Our programme is designed to cultivate international-mindedness and nurture a lifelong love of learning in every student.

The school is located in a spacious purpose-built campus with a wide range of good facilities only a short distance from the centre of Bangkok, which is one of the most exciting and culturally rich world capitals in which to live and a perfect hub from which to explore Thailand and South East Asia.

Our school is an international community with over 30 nationalities represented and we aim for our students to thrive not only academically, but in all areas of their lives in line with our school's guiding statements.

The Role:
We are seeking a qualified, knowledgeable and passionate Assistant Head of Primary with experience in the English National Curriculum and, ideally, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). In this new post, the successful candidate will work alongside the Head of Primary to take a leading role in the continuing improvement of the primary school. The specific responsibility of the job will be dependent on the knowledge, skills and expertise of the successful candidate and how this aligns with our current school strategic plan. The role will be non-classroom based, however, there will be a 0.5 teaching commitment across the primary school.

For further details of this position, please refer to the Job Description attached. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, and possess great interpersonal skills, enabling them to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents. They will be well-organised, have a good sense of humour, and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community.

This role would suit someone aspiring to Senior Leadership.
