Position Duties
The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To
Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
Maintain knowledge of school programs and operations.
Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of ISG district organization policies, practices, and procedures.
Schedule and coordinate admissions assessments for prospective students, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of assessment schedules, results, and communications with families.
Create a supportive assessment environment for prospective applicants.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding the assessment process and outcomes including supporting conditional offers and inadmissibility decisions by the Admissions Review Team.
Travel to school sites to collaborate with school teams and conduct assessments.
Administer and oversee in-person and remote admissions assessments for prospective students, including digital assessments, interviews, early childhood assessments, and English language level assessments.
Evaluate the developmental readiness and academic aptitude of applicants in line with both American and British educational standards.
Coordinate and ensure the timely completion of admissions reviews.
Provide reports and recommendations to the admissions team based on assessment outcomes.
Stay informed about best practices in admissions and assessment.
Collaborate with the admissions team, school leadership, and other district teams to review and refine assessment procedures as needed.
Collect and analyze admissions and assessment data to develop admissions criteria and to inform the selection and development of future admissions testing and policy decisions.
Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Office, counselors, English language learner teachers, and learning support teachers to align admissions criteria and admission decisions with available support services and program capacities.
Respond promptly and professionally to families’ inquiries via admissions platform, school tours, email and phone calls.
Collaborate with the admissions team, district departments, and schools to plan and host tours and open days.
Assist with admissions platform set-up and annual maintenance tasks.
Contribute to school and district knowledge bases.
Perform other duties as required by the Admissions and Enrollment Manager.
Qualifications And Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Research, Measurement and Evaluation, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Working knowledge of trends in educational research, evaluation, and assessment.
Experience And Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
Previous experience working with children from early childhood to young adulthood.
Previous experience with standardized testing and assessment tools.
Previous experience working with multi-lingual learners.
Skills
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Proficiency in using technology and software for scheduling and record-keeping.
