About the Department
The EAL (English as an Additional Language) Department works to support small groups of students who need additional support to develop their English Language skills. The EAL team focuses on providing support for students in reading, writing, speaking and confidence in using English Language. Students are withdrawn from mainstream English or MFL classes in order for additional support to take place, with students having the opportunity to complete English as a 2nd Language at IGCSE level and IBDP English B. The EAL department is well resourced, with modern classroom spaces and excellent physical texts and online platforms available to support all learners.
